Animal Care & Use

Through the Office of Research Administration (ORA) and the Institutional Animal Care & Use Committee (IACUC), it is ensured that all animals used in research and teaching are treated in a humane and ethical manner and that personnel adhere to all policies and guidelines set forth by University, state, and federal regulations.

 *A submission must be in to the IACUC by the submission deadline to allow adequate pre-review before an IACUC meeting. This deadline ensures timely approval of activities and if it is not met, there is no guarantee the submission will be reviewed until later IACUC meetings.

**Semi-Annual Inspections will be the week of September 30, 2024.
